On the ordinance, referred on June 27, 2012 Docket #0985, amending City Electoral Districts, the Committee submitted a report recommending the ordinance ought to pass. Councilor Jackson offered an amendment. Councilor Yancey moved to table the matter. The motion did not prevail; yeas 5 (Arroyo, Jackson, Pressley, Ross and Yancey), nays 8. The amendment of Councilor Jackson was not accepted; yeas 4 (Arroyo, Jackson, Pressley and Ross), nays 9. Councilor Yancey offered that Docket #0758, the map submitted previously by president Murphy, be the proposed Amendment. Hearing no seconded motion, the amendment was not accepted. On motion of Councilor Linehan; the report was accepted; the ordinance was passed; yeas 7, nays: 6, (Arroyo, Connolly, Jackson, Pressley, Ross and Yancey).
